2nd thoughts on Supernova, and questions

Okay guys. I dont think supernova is possible in PLO. I checked out the number of full ring games and there were only 21 (on Saturday) compared to 96 6 max games. Those 21 games were for 10 and 25 PLO. Even if I played all 21 there is no way at that price that supernova is achievable. Whats the most 6 max games you can play, and what style.

I got the free 7 day trial for DC and watched the 2X6 series (4 of them anyway). She pretty much is a nut peddler in 6 max. What kind of stats do you think is okay for someone trying to master the game, and starting from the beginning. what do you think about 15/12 to start maybe 4 tabling...plan to make 40 buy ins and then move up?

Anyway, gonna drop off the wife at Treasure Island pool for the day, and I am heading out to the Orleans and play Hi Lo....Saw Idolized last nite, Jasmine Trias is one foxy babe!

I won the Florida game yesterday and I had doubled my bet...It worked!!!!!!!!!!! cya

I know a 1/2 winning reg that plays 15/12 so thats a perfectly viable strategy if you are comfortable with it, just play whatever suits your style and work from there though.

Side note though, don't play on stars just to get supernova as it isnt worth it, you can supernova equivalent rakeback on full tilt or any other site.

Supernova is definitely attainable, don't know exactly how many vpps you get in plo10/25 games but for plo50 6-max u get about 0,35VPPs pr hand, and about 0,40 once the new system starts on all plo 6-max tables. shouldn't be that much less for plo25. I'd definitely go for 6-max tho, not FR as it isn't much action above plo25, if u'd play plo50-200 FR during peakhrs u wouldn't get much more than 8, possible 12 during weekends, and that's not all that much when it's FR.

To become a good PLO player u definitely can't play 15/12, u can be a good massmultitabler playing 15/12, breaking even in play and winning through rakeback, but u won't ever win above 2bb/100 (estimate) playing that tight.

If u want to massmultitable you don't have to play that tight either, i've 20tabled playing 23/18 without problem, but i'd go for playing 6 tables playing 32/27ish. Tho to start out with playing 4 tables, i'd settle for 23/18ish, don't play 15/12 tho, way to tight imo.

Good luck.

In order to make Stars more profitable from a 'rakeback' point of view over FTP or another site, not only do you have to attain Supernova status, but you simply must at least get the first milestone bonus @ 200k VPPs within the calender year.

If you feel you can not attain this, you are probably better off putting in the majority of your volume at FTP.

fwiw to make 100k VPP it takes roughly

-109k hands @ PLO200 6m
-153k hands @ PLO100 6m
-277k hands @ PLO50 6m

obv double the hand totals to reach the 200k VPP mark. The new sysytem if fully implemented should should show an 6-9% improvement for PLO50 and PLO200, and leave PLO100 fairly unchanged (table selection will be a big factor here)
