Back with a little va-va-voom

Running pretty hot since I've been back so I'm going to try to make the most of the confidence it's given me and get in some hours at the tables. I'm actually down money though because I keep running like poo at 25/50 when I take shots but whatever. I feel like my game has a little bit more oomph now that it has been lacking in a little recently. I will illustrate this in a hand history:

$10/$20 Pot Limit Omaha
2 players
Converted at plomahatools.com

Stacks:
BB BB ($9,718)
SB Hero ($2,090)

Pre-flop: (2 players) Hero is SB T 8 T J
BB posts SB $10, Hero posts BB $20, BB raises to $60, Hero calls $40

Flop: 7 4 7 $120 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $100, Hero raises to $300, BB raises to $680, Hero raises to $2,030 and is all-in, BB folds

Hero collects $1,479.50

I also have been more clearly seeing where my edge is coming from and therefore am able to better exploit people, whereas before I was just clicking buttons and expecting to lose. I had a good chat with Micheal too about the importance of having a good mindset and made some progress in turning mine around. This is definitely the hardest time I have ever been through in poker though - and I still have a fantastic life compared to the average 22 year old so what the hell can I complain?

Outside of poker I just signed for a flat in London Kentish Town with Micheal Piper and another guy called Tony, which I really hope we get. It's going to be our grind-station for 10 months until we head back off to Vegas next year. I might follow Mike round on a few of his EPT adventures as it would be nice to travel and it is quite refreshing to play some live poker. The idea of a Malta poker house is something postponed for the moment. I still really like the idea of living in a hot country for a while though at some point. England weather is shhhiiitttyyy.

I bluffraise the flop - he clicks it back. Based on game-flow I decide he is likely FOS. I feel like if I raise a smaller amount he can float/ click it back again and I'm almost committed anyway. I ship - he folds - I feel like a genius this time. The frequency of bluff-raising on the flop in this match made me feel like this would be a profitable play.
