I just downloaded a whole bunch of new songs (about 30g worth, getting me dangerously close to my download limit) so i'm discovering a lot of new songs and just letting iTunes play random songs for me nonstop. Anyway, these threads are always cool.

Yeah, Australian internet fucking sucks. It's slower than most of the world and we have restrictions on the amount we can download via every single ISP - if you exceed these limits you either get charged per MB, or your speeds are restricted to really slow.

I'm on the fastest plan available + the highest download limit available and the most I can get is 60gb per month. Usually not a problem but I went crazy a few days ago and now, 8 days into my cycle, I've used 50 out of my 60gb limit.

Le sigh.

Request for Roy. Make a list of all the good songs that you happen to come across and post it all at once. I'm always into new stuff even tho it's so time-consuming to come across. Would love to see what you come up with. If you come across any Danko Jones or Muse...keep it. It's good stuff.

I downloaded the entire discography of: pink floyd, bob dylan, guns n roses, bob marley, muse, aaaaand probably a few more that I can't think of off the top of my head (on my laptop atm). As well as the rolling stones top 500 greatest songs of all time, the first season of mad men + last season of entourage + a bunch of other random TV shows.

I have an incredibly eclectic taste in music so you might not like all that I like (and probably hate some of it), but I'll try to do this anyway.

What are you into? Who are your favourite artists?

Ha. I downloaded that 500 best as well. Quite a few Five Tops songs...and it's defintiely weighted towards older stuff. That said, I discovered Ray Charles - Georgia kuz of that collection and that's just a great song.

Anyway, my usual stuff is Muse...a real one in a generation type band...Danko Jones, RHCP, Ludacris, Andrew WK, In Flames, The Hellacopters, and 2 Unlimited baby!

I prefer the older songs. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, etc, just have brilliant music that will never die.

I haven't listened to much by the people you listed except Muse. I'll let you know my list anyway though.
