I'm enjoying living in my new flat with Mike and Tony. We have our grind-station set up (maybe pictures to come). Had a pretty fun housewarming party and a few messy nights out the past few days so been enjoying myself a lot.

I managed to put in 50,000 hands this month but again just resulted in me losing a chunk of money in cash games. I'm getting pretty frustrated with it so I'm moving down to mid-stakes this month to just try and book myself a winning month for sanity's sake....

Running pretty hot since I've been back so I'm going to try to make the most of the confidence it's given me and get in some hours at the tables. I'm actually down money though because I keep running like poo at 25/50 when I take shots but whatever. I feel like my game has a little bit more oomph now that it has been lacking in a little recently. I will illustrate this in a hand history:

Well I got back from Vegas 3 days ago after about five weeks out there. I had a really awesome time out there and am already looking forward to/ planning next year's trip. The helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon is insane and I would recommend anyone who is out in Vegas for a long time does it. Never did see go a show but I think Galen's right - it would be better going there on a date for sure.

Just a quick update to say all-in-all I'm having a great time in Vegas. I love all the delicious restaurants and have eaten some ridiculously good meals since I've been here. My birthday was a good night - met up with Zammm, Iggymcfly, Madscientist, Wazz, Antonio and LFTV. Steaks, drinks then 'titty bars' as Tom affectionately called them - the perfect birthday in Vegas I guess

Loads to look forward to this summer. I'm obviously happy about my SCOOP win and was definitely a much-needed boost as my cash game results have been so appalling this year.

I'm happy for the pressure that it's applied on me to try and improve my game though and it's definitely tested me to the limits of my tilt control. I was losing the battle until I took some much-needed time off recently. Weird how tilt creeps in to your game without you accepting it at first.
