Someone has a 9 and someone else probably has the straight. I would have called the flop to see if I filled up, but I'm not putting anymore money in with bare trips.

Trips just aren't worth playing such a big pot in a limped pot. Someone has you beat.

Im not a big fan of the turn shove. I dont mind the overcall on the flop, because if you fill up on the turn I think the pot will be big enough that the other wont be able to get away from it, and youll have positional advantage on him.

Also, I think I am folding this hand pre everytime, regardless of action ahead of me. You are basically just hunting for a set of 9's and have not much else to work with with that hand except a 9 high flush draw and the wheel, both of which are not nearly nutty enough for me to want to play.

We actually know that we cant be blown off our hand on flop since SB cant reopen the betting and we have position, even if button reshoves we are prized in multiway. Turn is obvs a great card. Can make arguments for booth flatting and shoving there.

Preflop, I dont usually limp hereat all. I possibly thought the Ace was suited at that time, or some random moment where I was constantly limping, and looking for an opportunity. I cannot recall the details, as I only dug this up during a post session analysis.

Flop I overcall since either I get it in multiway, and the shortstack cannot reopen the bettinng.

On the turn, of course I'm beat. That is beyond doubt.
I do have the equity to call and fill up, but why not semibluff ad pick off a free $29.

Villians bet seems weak, and he probably had the bare nuts on the flop. The shove is a bluff.

Or i could be up against a lower set and get it in good. That would make this a value bet. Weird I never thought I'd say this. value bet and bluff at the same time.

Atleast in my mind I was clear I was bluffing. The value part is just a retrospective thought process.

On a SHSIAM scale of 1-10, where does the turn play rate?

Looking at the hand again, I think I actually like the Turn shove. Looks like something I would do.

He probly called you with the bare nuts on the Flop, so when such a juicy Turn card hits, i say shove it in his face and see if he has the balls to call you down. And you can always fill up if your value-bluff deosn't work out.

SHSMIAM?
